The passing of the Olympic flame will be at 6 p.m. at the Pont du Bouget and will arrive at 6:35 p.m. at the town hall square. As an emblematic town selected for the passing of the relay, Barcelonnette reveals itself as an asset for the valley of Ubaye by promoting white water sports activities through this memorable stage of the torch relay for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The carefully traced route of the Olympic flame in Barcelonnette will highlight the Ubaye valley and white water sports. The relay will take place on Saturday May 11, 2024 from 10:40 a.m. Part of the relay will be located on the Digue des Colporteurs along the Ubaye with the passage of our rafting and kayaking boats. The white water sports of the Ubaye will be in the spotlight.

The Olympic Flame Shines in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence in 2024
On May 11, 2024, she will make her official entry into our department, thus inaugurating one of the first stages of her 68-day journey across France.
In accordance with ancient tradition, the Flame will be lit in Olympia on April 16, 2024. After a 12-day journey to Greece and a crossing of the Mediterranean aboard the legendary three-masted ship, the Belem, the Flame will make its official arrival in France on May 8, 2024, marking the long-awaited return of the Games. The arrival of the Olympic Flame in France will inaugurate a period of grandiose festivities which will take place throughout the country for more than two months, culminating with the opening of the Olympic Games.
The privileged people of the Olympic Flame in the Alpes de Haute Provence
Seven municipalities in the Alpes de Haute-Provence, carefully selected in collaboration with Paris 2024, will have the privilege of hosting the torch relay. Among them :

- Digne-les-Bains,
- Forcalquier,
- Moustiers-Sainte-Marie,
- Sisteron,
- Manosque, as a stopover town, will be privileged witnesses of this historic moment.
