Lake of Lauzet Ubaye,

Leaving Crazy Water, follow the road to the village of Lauzet Ubaye. The lake will be on your right. A path goes around the lake, with picnic facilities, public toilets and games for children. La Buvette du Lac welcomes you for lunch and dinner (sale of ice cream, drinks, snacks and meals).
Fishing is authorized and free (unique in the Alps). Swimming is allowed and even recommended!
The Pont Romans hike

Leaving the village of Lauzet Ubaye (500 meters from Crazy Water), between the Relais du Lac restaurant and the gendarmerie, take the alley that goes up on your left. Cross the village of Lauzet then take the small road which goes down towards the Ubaye gorges (Signs indicating the hamlet of Costeplane). You can cross the two Roman Bridges and admire the view of the gorges and say “hello” to the rafters and kayakers! The return is via the path which takes a right, towards the village of Lauzet. Go up for 500 meters, then when you arrive at the cemetery, you take the mill road on your left to return to the heart of the village.
Costeplane Waterfalls

Access by car: Leaving Crazy Water, head towards the village of Lauzet Ubaye then turn right onto Route du Moulin. At the end of the road, turn right at the crow's foot towards “La source” and “Cascades de Costeplane”. At the end of this road, cross the bridge over the Ubaye, then continue the asphalt road to the end. You will arrive at a small parking lot, the starting path to the waterfalls is there. Walk along the “Bridal Veil” and discover magnificent wild pools. You will certainly see canyoners descending along the Blach waterfalls (activity that we offer at Crazy Water rafting).
Hikes to the Transubayenne Tunnels

Leaving Crazy Water, head towards the village of Lauzet Ubaye then turn right onto Route du Moulin (before the village). At the end of the road, turn left at the crow's foot towards “Les Tunnels”. Walk another 300 meters and you will arrive at the start of the first Transubayenne Tunnel. You move on flat ground, an old railway line, through the 4 old tunnels to the place called Roche Rousse, on the edge of Lake Serre-Ponçon. The return is in the opposite direction.

10 km from our rafting base at Lauzet Ubaye, the village of Saint-Vincent-les-forts is a little corner of paradise to visit! Overlooking Lake Serre-Ponçon and the Ubaye Valley, this picturesque little village is also a world paragliding hotspot. You can take the plunge!
If you continue your excursion towards Digne les Bains, you will find the Saint-Jean-Montclar station. Family-friendly and refreshing, this small resort at an altitude of 1350m offers you a choice of very varied activities: hiking, mountain biking, tree climbing, etc.
