Organize an EVJG – EVJF
Bachelor party / Bachelor party
Organizing an EVG, EVJF in the Barcelonnette valley, on the Ubaye river by rafting is really appreciated to celebrate these events. We explain why.
What is an EVJG and EVJF?
Commonly practiced, EVJG and EVJF are the abbreviations of a bachelor party and bachelor party. It is a tradition to spend time with friends and family of the same sex, and to highlight the end of the “pre-marital” life of the future groom or bride. The event can take place over one day or several days and is organized by the wedding witnesses.
How to organize a bachelorette party?
First of all, you must ask the bride and groom for the list of participants, then set a date. This can be in agreement with the future bride and groom or a surprise date!
Depending on the number of participants (generally between 6 and 15 people), the witnesses will decide on the theme of the event and the location. Example: in a big city, by the sea, in the mountains, etc. Then they will have to contact the participants and go around the table of budgets and activities. Once agreed, you must make an initial contact with the activity providers, to see if this is feasible, at the desired time. Next comes the step of reserving accommodation, according to the desired capacity and reserving the activities.
All that's left to do is find some fun games for the big day and do the shopping if necessary!
Don't forget the costumes for the bride and groom!!!
Little tip: EVJG and EVJF groups often take a smartphone application to facilitate the accounts of the stay. The solution of a cash prize is also used.
Especially since the future bride and groom are invited so the accounts are always a headache!
Why choose Rafting for a bachelorette party?
What are the 6 advantages of Rafting for an EVG or EVJF?
1- Rafting is an activity accessible to everyone. You don't need to be a great athlete to practice this activity. The participants are in the same boat, so everyone paddles at their own level and this creates group harmony.
2- There is no Leader or responsible person. The river guide (monitor) who is at the rear in the raft, takes care of the raft and the management of his group. He manages everyone's safety.
3- Rafting is an activity that is practiced in groups, there is real team cohesion. Everyone encourage each other!
4- The rafting descent on the Ubaye is sensational. Whether for its rapids throughout the route, or for the incredible landscapes with the Gorges du Lauzet. It’s a real adventure to share!
5- Rafting is an inexpensive activity! Between €40 and €45/person (depending on the number of participants), everything is included and the experience is worth the detour!
6- And not least: living water makes you boil! And yes, it’s scientifically proven! In reality living water is refreshing, it cleanses the mind; and rafting is such a fun sporting activity that your muscles don't realize it.
What do we do during a bachelorette party?
It depends on the choice of witnesses: doing activities that the future bride and groom are used to practicing or completely the opposite and surprising the bride and groom, to the point of making them experience their worst anxieties!!! Always in a spirit of kindness and sharing of course!
Example: The bride-to-be loves outdoor activities, she is a hiker who likes the mountains. The witnesses are organizing a Via Ferrata day!
Another example: The bride-to-be is more of a “pepette”, she likes spas and shopping. The witnesses organize a day on the farm with cow milking, and a paragliding flight from the top of the mountain!
What are the activities to do for a bachelorette party?
The important thing is to be able to practice the activities in a group, and that they are accessible to everyone. During a bachelorette party, participants come from all walks of life. The groups are made up of people who are more or less reckless and more or less athletic. And above all, you need fun and sensations!! The ultimate goal is to have fun!
Here is a list of activities that are common in bachelorette parties: Theme parks, Paintball, Escape Game, Karting, Via Ferrata and of course white water activities, including rafting.
Little tip: don’t overload the day’s schedule. This is not a race for activities! You have to leave time for the unexpected and above all remember that a group takes more time for everything... meals, toilet breaks etc... Group inertia! The important thing is to spend time together.
